The Food on Leyte was not handed out due to political revenge. Just like the Gym in Valencia that was started by a previous Mayor but will never be finished as a spite to the old Mayor who started the building. The next Mayor used the money allotted to finish the Gym for his own pet project. The people suffer because of childish spiteful politicians

IT was the same on layte, tons of the stuff in warehouses just left to rot and rats eating it. Seems like a case of if I can't have it you're not having it either!
All the millions donated by local people and from the western world just dumped, these are the headlines the media should be pushing instead of the crap they publish!-

Food for calamity dumped by DSWD !
This is the headline in this weeks Negros Chronicle, this is foodstuff that has been donated and left to rot somewhere instead of being handed out to the people who need it.
I could maybe understand if it had just went missing like the bullet proof jackets but this is just waste by pure laziness of someone to do their job.
I don't know how much food there was but it went in a dump truck so i presume it was more than a couple of sardine cans.
They buried it at the dump so scavengers could not get it ! WHY ?
They should have opened the doors of where it was being kept a long time ago and the scavengers would have saved them the price of the dump truck.
You can only help people who want to help themselves, very sad, another blow to the pinoy pride.-

There was no inventory of the disposed items which leads me to believe the items could have been thoroughly scavenged by those using the "conference room" where the stuff was stored. The disposal could have been a coverup of the taking of stuff by some/all personnel there.

Yes, there should have been nothing to spoil as there is enough needy people. Anything likely to spoil or not tinned should have been handed out first. I wonder how much was handed out at all vs how much "spoiled".
