    Or you could just get on the boat with it and take the most un-luxurious cruise of your life. I took a motorcycle from Dumaguete to Manila on a ferry once. Regretted every second of being on that boat. If you do it make sure you get a private room and bring your own food...unless you enjoy a bunch of undisciplined children running around and screaming all day and night and you enjoy eating all the parts of the chicken most people throw away and ONLY those parts. (You also won't get a break from the roosters crowing as there will be no less than 100 of them on the ship.) It was about a 25 hour trip, plus another 2 hours to find all the people at the port in Manila who need to sign the paperwork to get your vehicle off the boat.

    Note: I was being cheap and not paying the bribes that I were probably expected.

    I've made the ride several times. You can do it in 24 hours (straight driving, naps while on ferries...6 hours Batangas to Caticlan) if you get lucky and hit every port right before the ferries takes off. A more reasonable, and enjoyable, time frame is 2-3 days. Allows you to take your time and stop in some towns along the way for beer/night out/DIA hookups.

    When I did it they didn't have any ferries that went Batangas-Caticlan (I believe they do now). Had to go Batangas-Mindoro (Calipan I believe) and ride down to Roxas to catch a ferry to Caticlan. I've also been the Luzon-Samar-Leyte-Cebu-Negros and Negros-Cebu-Masbate-Luzon routes. The Batangas-Caticlan-Drive to Iloilo-Bacolod-Drive to Dumaguete route is probably going to be the fastest and most pleasant route to take...though southern Luzon, south of Naga/Lagazpi, has some of the best roads for sports bikes/high speeds.

    Note: Never...EVER go to Masbate. Screw that island, the "ferry" that goes there and their port.

    About 9 years ago I paid a friend 10,000p to drive/ferry my car from Makati to Dgte. I paid for the ferries and gas. I think it took him 31 hours if I remember correctlty. He hired a co-driver. A less expensive alternative to shipping a car. The guy might want to do it again if interested.

    I've asked that question and the answer is always that someone (you) has to bring the vehicle to the dock in Manila and then someone has to immediately pick it up at the Dumaguete end. I have heard of people who fly to Manila to get their car to the dock and then fly home and wait for the ship to get here to unload it.

    It makes me reluctant to try it. Here is what 2Go has to say about rolling cargo
