Sadly, Mike and Joanna's 17 yr old son JM was killed in Florida near where they live. May he rest in peace and sincere condolences to the family.

JM was a great young man. Very athletic and outgoing for a 16 yr old. After just arriving at a neighborhood backyard bbq, JM was senselessy murdered by another kid, Carter Layne, who was high on drugs and alcohol and had been already threatening other kids, at gunpoint, for several hours. https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/region-sarasota-manatee/teen-charged-in-deadly-bradenton-shooting
