Deport vs Extradit? Arnie's passport has been cancelled so depport to another country is not possible. That leaves extridite/don't extridite for Timor Leste to decide.
If Teves challenges the extradition request that could take time. It took the DOJ months to get an arrest warrant. That suggests the strength of their case is questionable.
Several years ago the US wanted an executive of Huawei extridited from Canada for a financial crime. The extradition trial took years, the US finally gave up. Arnie might not be home for Christmas.
Whether his is guilty or not is for the courts to decide. I have my opinion but I'll keep that on my porch. Half the province likes the DeGamos and the other half like the Teves.
