Here is what we went through;
4 months after wedding she was in the US. Two years latter she was a US Citizen. 22 years in the US we retired here. I entered with a balikbayan visa. 14 months later we hired an attorney to handle both her Duel Citizenship and my 13a. We made a one day trip to Cebu for signing, finger prints and mugshot, was back in Dumaguete the same day. A year later the second trip to Cebu for my permanent 13a. That was 7 years ago.
I do not know who it works now.

Funny yes - but some people actually do just that! I know of one who told immigration his wife would be coming into the country the next month! As I found out, the spouses have to be literally standing next to each other to gain a BB.
