This is a Typhoon Odette money grab. and backed by no reasoning! The flood waters cleared well before Onion crops would rot out. The average domestic retail price of white onions in the Philippines was around 98.6 Philippine pesos per kilogram in 2022, reflecting a decrease from the previous year's retail price where it reached its peak. Oct 18, 2021. Offer 100 Peso per Kilo (approx 6 to 8 Onions) at a street market. If they want more........walk away! Many Cities and Towns in Philippines have every Sunday a street Market set-up where all the Farmers from the mountains come down to sell their goods. They are the best by far and also more fresh than a Super-Market that has less fresh and higher prices to cover over-head related costs.

There used to be some Tesco products in City Mall seems to be no more but they have a small selection of Co op items.
Also saw white onions there which have not been available for months BUT look at the price.
