damage control??

    greetings; i am in the process of scheduling a trip back to DUM. what is the situation as far as the amount of damage from sendong?? are roads now passable and restaurants open etc.. any problems with the hotels-- especially vacancy rates coz i know there are a lot of people homeless now. i will probably try to rent a small house for a month or 2.... appreciate any input from the folks at the forum......thanks john lennen

    Even there is considerable damage in Dumaguete,Valencia and in between, there is no disruption whatsoever in the touristbelt of the city.
    Unlike in Bangkok where many victims of the flood have moved to a hotel, this is not the case in Dumaguete.
    Vacancy may not be a problem unless you are traveling during special events or holidays.

    Roads are mostly intacted, some bridges are out and the tourist destinations are noted here Travel Blog: Tropical Storm Sendong last updated Monday. Otherwise its business as normal !!

    No problem with restaurants, hotels, or main roads.
