I currently have a dollar direct deposit account with BDO for receiving my SS and VA payments, I am okay with the requirement of no online or ATM access and only able to physically withdraw money at the bank. What I am not okay with is being told that this account is only accessible at the branch where it was opened. I may want to re locate to another city and having to close and open a new account there is a pita not to mention dealing with the VA and SS. Does anyone here have a DD SS account that they can access at any of the branches of their bank ?

I once was unable to withdraw from a BPI branch in Manila, because the signature card is at the Dumaguete branch, and they need a return phone call from Dgte. But I have ATM access, it's just that the one at Intramuros was not working.
