I just read in the negros chronicle that all the tricycles are to be replaced with electric powered tricycles, a good idea if it ever happens.
I remember a few years ago on my first visit to China, it was a big city 7,000,000 people and e - bikes (2 wheel scooter type things) were very popular, on my first night I had just finished congratulating my self on walking across a very busy road when I was almost hit by one of these things on the pavement, it appears they were allowed to drive them on the pavement and as you cant hear them coming or see them as they turn off the lights to save the battery walking on the pavement was always a bit nerve wracking.
The moral of my story is that if we ever get these e - trikes I hope the having lights law is enforced better than it is now.

Yes I agree, that's my point about the Negros Chronicle, I think its a good paper but they seem to have got a copy of the mayors wish list and just print one item every week with no explanation of how or when, whats next Dumaguete to get public toilets (that people will use)

That is one of the problems with electric cars also. You can't hear them. I also doubt they will ever make a debut here in Duma. They don't even maintain the trikes here. Some of these these trikes (minus the motorcycle) a likely 40 years old and rusting out.
