Looked at the Prawns on offer at Hypermart last Wednesday, looked and smelt to be fresh and well presented...

Should be at the price they charge, alternative is public market #1 in town, prices usually negotiable, size range greater etc.

My memory is not so good anymore but I *think* it was around 400php per Kilo, what is the normal price at the wet markets? My wife decided not to buy and wants to go to Siaton to buy Prawns as she says they are much cheaper and nicer there, I cannot eat Prawns or Crab as I throw up within a minute of eating it despite liking the taste. My problem with buying things like seafood is catching the Jeepney back to Zamboanguita and trying to keep them fresh, the extra hassle of carrying a foam box with ice is a PITA!

Depends on the size that you want, (as in you get what you pay for I guess). In the past, Bais was a good place to go for reasonable seafood deals, 10kms shorter in distance than Siaton too. Haven't been for a while, especially since the new market has opened, but it's a nice day out and the road is fairly good nowadays.
