I was not speaking so much as yea or nea on the issue of genetic engineering, but more on whether or not the child should be born at all. In many cases life for many and society as a whole, including the child, would be better off without the live birth. I would not put the life of a good dog before the life of many humans I have known, so that may give you an example of my thoughts on that topic. One of the hardest things I have ever done was to put down a good dog, but better to do that than allow the dog and those around him to suffer needlessly and endlessly, when there is no hope of a happy ending.
