Dave, are you looking for Maui Wowee, Acapulco Gold or Thai stick? lol
Actually, I am looking for the same, Bermuda or Carabao but I heard they don't use it here, hope that's not true.

not sure about seeds, but you get both in rolls and squares, as people have that as business, there must be seeds.

I am sure most Dauin Resorts can tell you where they got theirs from. Mike used Bermuda first, but it does not work too well in heat and people on it, nice for landscape-decoration though. now he changed most to carabao grass.

I had brought with me some wrangler 71 Bermuda seeds in 2006 from the states. I ended up spraying it and killing it off. I then went to what the locals here call bluegrass, its a golf course bermuda, you can search yourself the ways its made. NOT from seed. This is genetically engineered from 3 different types of bermuda . When it does seed out, ( head) only about 2 percent of the seeds will grow and also will revert to one of the original types. If you want this type its easy to get a few sqares and have the helper or any to tear it apart and plant the runners. Roots down of course. Joking. The last I knew it was about 80 to 100 a square. The carabao grass was about 35 a square a few years ago. My grass I drive on it always, look good even at tthe gate entrance. There also is a ordinary burmuda here, I seen some at our other lot, and few other places but was not much rto harvest and start sprigging with.

Thanks for the answer, good insight. However, I am very sure there are seeds available here. We had them in the resort I was working before to do some patchwork, not sure about which kind of grass we had there, but it was not imported

I goofed, I had forgot the most important thing, the bluegrass when you buy 1 sq it will tear it apart and plant the small pieces 15 to 20 sq meters can be made from 1 square meter. Also I have done it myself for about 200 square meters, then have hired those that will plant it for you at 15 peso a square. Now. thats the cheapest way to get turf. One problem, the weeds needs to be pulled once a week until the grass gets very thick. By the way, I have sold that grass to a resort in dauin. Even had one lot a township had bought all 800 meters of it for some festival. I dont sell it anymore. Each time the sod, turf is removed a little soil goes with it. My yard is level now, the other lot I had it from for sale is more sandy type of soil and it cant take anymore grass lifting. Would ruin the topsoil completely. If you want, I know some who sells it, and Maybe can help direct you to those that plant it by the square meter.

ok, I looked up the first site I came to. Southern Turf Nurseries - TifDwarf Bermudagrass for Golf Course Greens the last paragraph says it all. no viable seed. sterile. The grass I am talking about uses a few different strains to make one. engineered. This is a huge business. Many around the world is on this game, it clearly states that it must be sodded or hand planted , no seeds available, There is one from seeds for the fairways is princess 77, bermuda. . Hope this will help. seen this discussion b4 about the grass here. Your right Roody, does not do well in the sand. will grow but not handle traffic.

Great info thanks, maybe you could pm me the details? Was a landscaper in the uk for 15 yrs but far too hot for all this manual stuff here!
Even laid bowling greens and putting greens but it so different here, no garden centers or wholesale suppliers, mind you the last time I bought a good quality 10kg sack of fescue it was around 75 quid!
There is also a Korean grass here that apparently does not need much cutting? From where I do not know.
