New to the forum, and just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm a 38 year old Canadian that's married to a Filipina with a 2 year old son and are planning on making the move to Dumaguete in 2016. Hope to meet some new people from the area.

Welcome. The weather here is much better than most of Canada, especially this time of year. I hope you enjoy Dumaguete. I am relatively new here also just moved down to Duma back in September and really like it here.
Ya it's not the warmest here, reason we are planning on making the moves back to the Philippines. Wife gave it a try and is just having a tough time with the weather, so decision is made for this summer on the move.
