Dark sand is just as corrosive as white, golden or brown. Billions of tonnes of sand from where ever over the past decade's gone into building homes, hotels, bridges etc. No idea where they got it from.

I've recently seen a couple of houses under construction in the Valencia area, which appeared to be using 3" or 4" GI pipe instead of rebar in the columns. Does anyone have any experience / comments on this method? I'm not sure how they were tyeing the beams / block walls to the columns.
