I started a Tiffin every month about 2 years ago. This has now developed into a Curry Club. The basics are: It is by invitation only. (It is held in my house). It meets every month or so. No membership fees. The Tiffin consists of: Starter, 6 -7 curries (eat all you can) Accompanied by: Naan, Pachchadi and a selection of 10 or more Chutneys, Achars and Pickles. The cost is P400 per head and P30 for beers and less for softies/water. No children under 16, no half prices. All curries are Indian sub continent, I do not make English/Indian curries! Sirmoori, suggestion, I live in Bacong as do my English mates Davy and Mark and a guy from Belgium sure to offer a critique. We can be your marketing arm if you want to invite us for afree sampler, we bring the beer. Risk/reward, if it's good we post "you gotta try this", if stinko, we post "you could try but bring an air sick bag". At p400 in Dgte, you are eliminating the "won't pay p20 for butter" crowd (which there are many), and positioning yourself in the fine dining category; hence, the need for the Bacong marketing arm.

Actually, my post was more in jest than looking to freeload upon your apparent successful business, I can't stand Indian curries, only Thai curries for me. But being you bring up freeloading, seems like you are using the forum to solicit business....... Why don't you pay for an advertisement instead of sneaking in a freebie?
400 for all you can eat of good Indian curry?? I'm in!!! I'm headed out of town tonight but I'm back mid October. Love to enjoy some good curry
just to clarify some confusion about 'curry club'. having eaten there before it is not a profit making enterprise.. 'Sirmoori' is obviously a lover of indian food and an excellent cook to boot. Judging by the spread that was laid on when I visited I hardly think that p400 would cover the cost. The point about free advertising is redundant !
