Finance & Legal Landbank

Believe it or not we actually got a refund from Noreco of 4,500 php.
They gave it in the form of a landbank cheque, as there is a landbank branch close to the noreco office we went there to cash it, they told us there was a charge of 100php to cash it unless we go to the main landbank, as the main one is on EJ blanco drive we declined that option and paid the 100php.
This is the first time we have had to cash a cheque so my question is do other banks charge to cash their own cheques unless you go to the main branch ?

 

This seems odd. My thinking is it's a Land Bank cheque so any branch should be fine. Banks here can be strange. I went to RCBC. I wanted to open a yuan account. They said they don't have yuan accounts and I would have to go to the main branch. Okay fine, where is the main branch.

My Noreco bill came today.
135 pesos down from 155 pesos.

I'll spend the savings on a mountain dew .
