Shared responsibility comes to mind

 

WOW, of all of the things here to think of, leaves are the farthest thing from my mind. The wind blows them away or they just decompose. The only time I thought of them was when they were in the fairways, I don't play golf anymore, so not worried about leaves.

 

I was having a cold one in a beach resort, when a maintenance guy sweeping leaves off the beach thought to myself good man. Then I was astonished what happened next! He dug a hole in the sand and buried the leaves. Well the thought was there.

 

WOW, two hours ago, our garbage people (Pulantubig) left our bag of leaves, first time it's happened, and when i ran out and asked him why, he said new law. I even had a paid-for green tag on the bag...
WTF, can't burn ??
Bury ??, when the house goes to a meter from the lot line....
What brainless bureaucrat came up with this genius ??? Unbelievable...
Somebody tell me where Felipe lives, and i'll dump it outside his fence...
Do i detect a SEVERE LACK of planning on the part of the city gummint ??. Is this part of the "land fill" problem that the idiots on Sta Catalina St have been ignoring for a decade??. Brilliant, f* brilliant...

 

He may actually be a very clever man.

Adding organic matter to sand produces loam - the best growing medium for most plants. So maybe soon you will see him plant a coconut in the same spot.

Or not.

 

Leaves in bags ... trip to a wooded area ... hey presto, no leaves.

 

Composting is best, if you have space - wire netting around 4 corner posts will do. But mix with other organic matter - grass cuttings, kitchen peelings (not cooked food to avoid rats visiting) and even shredded paper (not inked). Then turn a few times.

 

It's in front of a well know beach resort, I don't think the owner is going to be happy.
