Dumaguete are we left behind again?
When that Robinsons Dumaguete opened not long ago, it was a celebration we finally had a Mall on this city.
But when I read that Ayala Mall will be officially open next month at Bacolod City made me realized to ask are we left behind to that other city in Negros Island. They got DFA, They got a new international Airport. They got SM mall, 2 Robinsons, Gaisano and SAVEMORE supermarket and expanding. Not to mentioned my favorite school at night " Casino" Lol! I wish we got more here. Where are we leading Dumaguete? Tourism? Really? with that unfriendly roads to beaches to Antulang, Tambobo, Twin lake and Balanan lake do you think the tourist will come back again... compared to awesome roads of Panglao Beaches of Bohol. :( BPO? really? How come were stock with Qualfone only.

Hmmm....maybe when Dumaguete reaches the size of Bacolod, which is 10 times larger in population, then Dumaguete will have the people to monetarily support all of those same businesses, but who wants the pollution and noise of Bacolod?

No, Dumaguete is not left behind at all. That makes it all more charming.

Leave the big malls and the rest to the neighboring cities.

I agree with GOwin. DC is already crowded as it is. Not to mention the fumes.

I agree too, if one likes overpopulation go to Cebu or Manila.

I think the trick for me would be to live far enough away to escape the smell and congestion but still close enough to enjoy the convenience that comes with noise, smell and congestion when I need something. I always have liked rural living even when it was a 20 minute drive to the nearest convenience store.

Concur Robert. Bacong sort of fits those characteristics.
