Looking to see how the liquor ban might change under GCQ. In the executive order, there is no explicit mention. The ban was part of the ECQ order, as far as I can tell, which is set to expire May 1. Happy days are upon those of us who like to consume? I guess I will find out for sure tomorrow.

Alcohol and tobacco production was banned on the national/federal level by Duterte if I remember correctly. Even if the ban is lifted there is going to be a supply issue for local stuff. Also not sure if those products would fit under essential items either. If it is not essential then once the inventory on the island that had been hidden behind the counter runs dry then there will be no more available...minus anything brewed locally.

Remove customers shopping only for alcoholic beverages and supermarkets, restaurants, etc. will be significantly less crowded.

I wonder if the government can keep up the alcohol ban much longer
    - the alcohol industry in the Phils like SM corp. creates thousands of jobs
    - the tax revenue might be missed by the government
    - people might feel a bit unrest, as we start to see here in the forum :-)
I guess sales will start soon again
