Can anyone recommend a reliable, competent mechanic to work on an "owner-jeep" with a Toyota corrolla chassis? Thanks in advance for your suggestions

M.A.P. Automotive Repair on the Dumaguete-Valencia road are the best I've run across. They are competent, professional and fairly priced.
Heres a link to the owners Facebook page. His name is Marvin and I think you'll very much like giving him your business.

I went to MAP with a list of problems on my Suzuki Esteem. It was very expensive and when I finally got the car back, there were more problems (new ones!) than when I brought it in. I posted on this before as have several others. I would never go back there.

I have to echo SteveB's comment. Same thing happened fo us. Took our car there, spent alot of money, and had more problems when we got it back. I can't recommend them, either.

Does they get the parts needed without texting you to come give them money for every single part needed?

I've been using Petron CCC (tim's autocare) out in Sibulan and have been satisfied but don't like driving all the way out there everytime something is wrong. Luckily my d*mn multicab doesn't make it further than a kilometer before something else breaks so it's not to hard to get it back in the shop there. O-|

It’s good to be able to repair your own vehicle without being held to Ransome

The mechanics I used to work on my bikes I always pay a deposit for eventual needs. Of course you need on you can trust then. They are around.

I agree, unfortunately for me unless it only involves a screw driver or hammer (or both) I'm pretty worthless with cars.

I once put oil in the windshield washer container.
