I had a next-door neighbour with a near constant barking dog. I have a dog myself but it only barks at people who come on the property. So I was a little thoughtful about tactics….tried discussion…got some positive response but it didn't shut the dog up. So I began to hit it with the garden hose every opportunity when it barked senselessly - soaked the dumb b@st@rd. If it soaked their car or their carport roof I couldn't give a stuff. The good news is they sold and moved.
I think everyone is entitled to a decent level of peace and quiet…although that may be hard in Dumaguete. I'd suggest quieter mufflers on the bike….it's a 1000cc…not like you'll notice the drop in power…or ever need it.

Sorry mate, I don't agree. I had my exhaust (which was about 400USD) installed before they moved in. They watched me pull in the drive way when they were looking at the property. Ain't nothing on my end changing, i was here first and i haven't bothered anyone else on the property until this tenant.

If i get the boot so be it, but until then, I carry on. I've worked hard to live the life I'm living, have the toys i have and I'm not about to change for someone who can't take a little noise (which I'd nothing compared to the chickens and born again Christian Church out back). I'll post a video of it at idle so you can see how much of a problem it shouldn't be. (BTW, my landlord lived in the house they are renting for over 3 years and never had a problem with my bike(s).)

I think the problem has been resolved. The owner of the property told me not to worry about it....I think I'll go with that.

I have to sympathize with Wry. I lived next door to a family and we might have spoke 5 times in 2 years. Usually just a nod when we saw each other. Their pitbulls tunnedled under their fence and got out, still chained and likely to strangle themselves, I pushed them back under the fence and put a couple cinderblocks in the hole, never mentioned it to them. One day there was a stray dog running around and the neighbor told me loudly from a distance of 50 feet that animal control had already been called. I replied thanks and waved. They were busy, I was busy. They had one loud party a year, I had no loud party. We got along famously in my opinion. Companionable silence can be a wonderful thing.: )
