I have visited Dumaguete recently and really enjoyed my stay. I have been living in Dauis Bohol since April, and will be moving to Dumaguete July 1st. I look forward to meeting some of you. I will be renting in Banilad, so the city very close. Any recommendations on a good place to grab a beer and meet folks. From Nova Scotia but spent 32 years in Virginia and 4 in Florida.
Welcome aboard! Plenty of folks at Happy Jacks (near Robinsons Mall) or up towards Hypermarket there's FlipFlops. I'll personally attest that the food at Happy Jacks is pretty good!
Happy Jacks, the old Black Pearl and Garcia's are getting ready to open again (under different names, don't know what they will be called yet), Octagon, Flip Flops, Chick's.....all a short drive from where you will be.
There is also andys golden grill not far from banilad,probably one of the best meals I've eaten in the ph so far with impeccable service.
