so imagine if you will that all those motrcycles were replaced by cars. how much better do you feel the parkling situation would be then?
My sentiments exactly, and that is how I often counter those arguments. Sort of puts it in perspective.
If only it were the case that all of us were suited to driving motorcycles ... unfortunately not an option for many, so your statement is not a counter argument that reflects reality. I am glad to see all of those motorcycles, if even a fourth of them were cars the situation would be impossible. But the motorcycle drivers need to recognize that they have lots of parking options available and so please don't take away the extremely limited options the cars have. Just today I saw a motorcycle parked sideways in a car parking area taking up two car parking places when there was a motorcycle parking area available.
The magic word for parking a motorcycle in a place destined for cars: lack of discipline.............So typical PH behavior.
and we all know that all those people in new cars and big shiny SUVs park sooo much better! why they would never dream of taking up two parking spaces!
A lot better 'coz the space would only be filled by cars on a first-come-first use basis. Motorcycle owners just position their vehicles every which way, oftentimes occupying more space than necessary.
Yeah, and the people with cars who got no space would just turn around and buy groceries another day. Obviously
Just to prove the point that motorcycle drivers are not always getting away with parking wherever they want - I got a little yellow ticket this morning informing me that the sidewalk parking fee is due for payment at City Hall :/
