Screen doors and screens on all windows is a must. For the bedroom, I run either the aircon or ceiling fan, and I have two bug zapper lights I bought at Handyman. I spray bug spray into the bathroom before I go in to shower or shave or whatever. I have hand-held battery operated zappers. Finally, I let a few lizards stay in the house to help me with the insect problem. There is another thread that offers good advice on protecting your body from insect bites. If you have type O blood and/or high cholesterol, they will like you too much.

They have them sometimes at Handyman at the mall. Just look around on the right hand side as you are headed in a few aisles back. I don't know what they call them, so usually not much point in asking. I have bought them twice there. They come in brown or white with self adhesive strips.

Charlie T is correct. The draught excluders are available in Handyman. The last time I looked they were in the section with locks and door handles. Black white or brown and can be secured to the door with the adhesive strip or screwed to the door. They come already drilled and with screws. They are in various lengths but can easily be cut down to the exact size of the door using a hack saw. They have two types, one with a rubber sweep like a squeegee, and one with a fibre sweep like a brush. I prefer the brush type as the rubber type tends to make the door judder when opening and closing. I have fitted these to the outside of all outer doors and they are very effective against the crawlers. Cost, as I recall, was about 250-300 peso per 1 metre length. Money well spent.
