Here is a link to a recent video by the Filipina Pea regarding health care and PhilHealth. She states that PhilHealth only covers $10 per day for the hospital room. Sounds about right, I was in a private room at SUMC for two days, cost about P20k I paid about P10k. That was last March. (Dengue)
