Interesting thought, Could this be in retaliation for the Trike driver assoc beating back the law of "no trikes on the highway" and now they cannot afford to take a single fare from Bacong to Dumaguete or Sibulan to Dumaguete so problem solved ..... and to eliminate 1k drivers who are barely making it now with trikes that are unsafe would ultimately benefit the city... then maybe Grab could make a foothold...

I have many times with how some of them drive. Please get me home in one piece.

Maybe if we get lucky come Monday and Tuesday is declared MGCQ Day, all of this will go away.

You always hear the phrase "Out of stock" except when it comes to needing more stupid pills. Seems there is always an ample supply of those.

"Religiously implemented" social distancing could simply be having a 2 metre stack of bibles between passengers.

I was wondering about cars - a closed environment, and one where people may remove masks without being seen. But open air travel on bikes and trikes is restricted???

Interesting theory, remember trike drivers have no money, trike drivers association has no money, so introducing Grab here could be a win situation for those issuing permits and franchises. And I am not talking about the LTO.

I always say a prayer before travel in the Philippines, no restrictions for that and never "rigorously implemented" we all have choices.

But they are a very large voting block. Might be a reason no taxis here. Of course I am not for clogging the streets more than they already are. I have lived in places where every form of public transport is available in the city, it is not a pretty sight, or a quiet one.
