Looking for Sherry, primarily for cooking. Tried the usual, Robinsons, Lee Hyper, Lee Super, most kids don't even now what it is. Any ideas where I could get it, duma not cebu..????
Hey PatO, will give it a try, is Acuna and Animal Wellness the same thing, on hibbard ? That store, the girl is RARELY there, opens at 10 (usu late) closes at 12 for two hours, then sometimes there in the afternoon. That is Sofia's, part of Times, which is the same as in Lee Super Plaza, about the same size, and which has no sherry and no idea what it is. We used to buy an Aussie Yellow Tail there, but usually "out of stock," so we got a case at S&R in cebu..
PatO, zip, zilch, she was there at 3, times mkt is last hope unless someone else has a secret. But she knew what it was...<g> Not part of Filipino cuisine, at least not humba...
This is just an idea, but fancy restaurants will also use if for cooking right? And WhyNot has a deli with some wines. I'm just saying it might be worthwhile to give them a call and find out. Contact number is on their web site here http://whynotgoogle.com/
Hi Dave, since Times/ Sophias as been a bust, whynot is worth a try, although i find it much easier to just drop by and show them a pic on google. One thing i get there is Liverwurst/Braunsweiger....
We bought sherry last year at that store just before or after the immigration alley. Looks like a small supermarket. The people at Casablanca actually gave us that tip-off! Missus likes making sherry trifle! I think it's called Times Mercantile.
Rob's, Lee Hyper, Lee Super (Times), WhyNot, Sofia next to Animal Wellns (Times), new SM at City, ALL blank looks for "Sherry". Times Merc (near BOI Alley) will try also..
