I note the Thai Restaurant thread from many years ago is closed, and i can't find Ti Ban. So does anyone know if Ti Ban is still around, or are any other Thai restaurants have opened in Duma ??? I crave for good Pra Ram or Pad Kee Mao..
I agree. I have not had any good Thai food since we moved away from Iliilo. I did see a new 2 story Dim Sum resto opening Oct 13 across from the Portal West building. Not Thai but maybe some good food.
What kind of food is there DIM SUM And can you give me some more directions where it is i don't know where is Portal Building is ???
Hi Lenny, Dim Sum is a type of small Chinese pastries and dishes. It's easier to google it than describe it. The West Portal Building is on Silliman avenue at Hibbard, near Kri, about halfway between Rizal and Real. " a Chinese dish of small steamed or fried savory dumplings containing various fillings, served as a snack or main course. .." When i've had it, also served are small plates of bok choy or brocolli in oyster type sauce. I'm sure i've forgotten about 2/3 of them. Still hoping for info on the nearest Thai ????
I assume you are referring to the Thai restaurant in Smallville complex on Diverion Rd. When I lived in Iliilo (2010) visited that place once in a while. Some meals from the menu were rather good and authentic but the hygiene in the kitchen leaves sometimes to be desired when I noticed my stomach reaction and more than frequently visit to the CR or in other words tubol igit. Nevertheless I also should wish a Thai restaurant will be here in Dumaguete soon.
The Portal west building is on the corner of Perdices street and Silliman . The Dim Sum resto is on Silliman street across from the Portal west building.
