That makes sense. I imagine you will want a very good quality uPVC to withstand the sun here. As a side note, the PVC roof gutters that some homes use often need replacing after 3 years, that's why most homes have metal gutters.
Did anybody try JFORCE WINDOORS ENTERPRISES, Dumaguete ? Seems they also sell upvc windows. Gesendet von meinem SM-N950F mit Tapatalk
opps, i spaced posting this sooner but... i couldn't find SOLIDACE DUMAGUETE, 24 Acias Pinili and neither could google maps or the tryke frivers i asked so i went back to Jay's and scored. seems my main problem, with both Precision Glass and Jay's, was being at the shop when the main man was present. anyway, Jay's did a great job on my project and i'm a happy camper. tnx guys...
solar radiation certainly should be considered when choosing outdoor building products. one benefit of pvc windows and doors in an a/c house is that pvc is a slower conductor of heat/cold compared to aluminum
fwiw... i've been shopping at the Triumph Home Depot in Sibulan for about 9 months and find that they have products i haven't been able to find in the duma building stores. i was in triumph recently and noticed they have pvc slider windows in stock, i don't know if they have other profiles and/or can get custom sizes. the store is never busy and there's always plenty of staff available. https://goo.gl/maps/6We1dLv1ENasyFGy5
Precision Glass is across from CitiMall, used them for cut glass, not windows. Easier to go than try to get anyone in Dumaguete to answer a phone. <grin> Might try the NEW CitiHardware in Sibulan, pretty sure they have windows, it's possibly the largest hardware store in all of Negros Oriental, HUGE, biggest parking lot north of the airport, 50 meters off National, 20 meters from the ferry entrance near the center of town, watch for sign...
