My girlfriend moved in with me from Cebu, to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city. Its been going great but the problem is shes vegetarian and we can't seem to find a restaurant with a good vegetarian menu. I've been looking for months now and have posted all over fb. I hope i have better luck here
Not a vegetarian at all so don't really Know but Casa Blanca or Why Not will oblige if you tell then what you want + there are more I know as we have spoke about this before but here is a page for you to have a look at. Google . Jack
That's a tough one. I know Hayahay has a couple pages for vegetarian meals on their menu. I never spent much time looking at it though. On Sundays up in Valencia there are lot of vegetables at the farmers market at much cheaper prices than any of the grocery stores in Dumaguete. (Not exactly what you were asking but it might help with cooking at home.)
Just happened to eat at Gabby's couple of days ago and noticed they had a few vegetarian entries. They are on Facebook: Gabby's Bistro Can't vouch for all their vegetarian meals but what we had was very tasty.
You'll just have to do what we all do (vegetarian or no) when we eat. Go around to different places to find those couple of items on any given menu that we like to eat. When we want to go out, we go based on that small list of options. If we want to expand the list, then we need to try more places. Not the worst thing, it's an adventure.
Got a few comments on FB on this. Bambulo (is that still open with all that construction? How do you even get in there?) Hukad at Robinson Dining - Atmosphere Resorts & Spa
Yes, Bambulo is still open. I was there with the Family last week. Great place for swimming for both young children, older kids and adults. Has a slide in the adult pool also. Food was excellent. made fresh as you order it not frozen food. Not cheap but very good bang for your buck IMPO. Yes there is construction right in front of Bambulo on Bacong - Valencia Road but there is an entrance to the resort and limited off road parking for cars and bikes. They also charge an entrance fee and for swimming but it was only p80 per person over 4 years old. Very reasonable IMO. They also have miniature golf but that looks old and not very well maintained but it's there for those so inclined. No I have no affiliation to this place. I just enjoyed my visit and thought it was nice place for family. Friendly staff also and it has a Foosball table too.
Entrance has been moved to the far left of the former parking lot (grassy area in front of the wall). Double door gate which is open when the establishment is open (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays!). Dip from the new road serface to the entrance is quite steep, but since few of us are driving Ferrari's or Lambo's, that shouldn't be a problem. Look at their FB page for exact opening hours and events.
