I see the creep (not fast, just a slow creep) towards modernising laws in relation to the public good. It would be great if the noise regulations, which already exist, are enforced and strengthened. Even as a dog-lover (in the best possible sense) I think dog noise should be controlled - not tying them up on a 1m leash or in a 2 sq m cage would help - but as it is a major burglar deterrent I see little hope. Motor bike noise should be an easier one - just an official mobile roadside crusher should do the trick.
Yes, this saves so much time fruitlessly searching for the correct ingredients. I've bought the sweet pickle relish from Robinsons before and used it for tartar sauce. I'm going to continue doing that.
Okay, Potatoes anything up to P90 kilo, I bought gas and cooking oil yesterday, P995 and P785 respectively. Fish P500 to P600. I've yet to pay rent and electricity. Also my assistant's wages. The logistics alone are worth P500 and we are well above average. Oh, yeah, a little thing called profit which is very hard to come by. I have a , self imposed , P300 ceiling on my menu, I think it's time to re evaluate that. Thanks for helping me to see more clearly.
It's perfectly fair to adjust your price when the cost of fish is unusually high. Put a post-it note on the top of your menu. People will understand.
We had Zak's F&C a few days ago, worth every centavo, especially with the quality of the fish. Will definitely go back, gotta try the curry and burger. With Judy over the stove and Russell and Jessie in command, a welcome addition to the restaurant scene.
