It now gets much more acute, time is not on our side, I have just read an article in a leading Swiss news paper.
It published a study that came up with really sick numbers, 237'000 Millionaires in Switzerland, it was argued in the comments that were posted, that the data is/was not representative to a high degree, but, even if one counts only say half of the Millionaires, there would be something like 100 Billion Swiss Francs on their accounts...

Read this, it explains the problem quite nicely...

"Not a day goes by without news on the growing inequality that is the telling indicator of the kind of economic model in which we have put ourselves, following the neoliberal binge unleashed by the Washington Consensus. The idea that economic growth is “a rising tide lifting all boats”, as the late Margaret Thatcher declared when she announced war on the welfare state, and its twin “capital will trickle down to everybody”, are now totally discredited. Facts, as it has been said, are stubborn.

And the facts have been demonstrated in an extensive statistical analysis by French economist, Tomas Piketty, (author of Capital in the Twenty-First Century) who, on the basis of the data from the last two centuries, proves that capital obtains a greater reward than work. So, in any country, economic growth is distributed in an unequal way between salaries for all and what goes to the rich.

Over time, the capital of the rich will grow more than everything else, and finally the very rich will see their capital grow continuously, much more than general wealth; those who inherit capital will eventually have the largest part of growth: in other words, they will suck away from the general population its increase in wealth. And this means that we are going back to the times of Queen Victoria."

We were always told as children, a small % of people in this world own the greater % of the wealth of the World,

    Seems things, don't change then.

On CNN today they were discussing an upcoming vote in Switzerland which would raise the minimum wage to $25 an hour and make it the highest in the world. I suppose they figure the millionaires have the money to pay that.

I wonder how that will affect the average union worker in North America when they are trying hard to negotiate for half of that.

I have a neighbor that has less than you have.
So it must be O.K. if I send him over to take half of your stuff.

If you are not the millionaire and only have a decent living, why all the hand wringing? I think I have just enough and short of an armed insurrection, I doubt anything can be done about those who greatly have and may not deserve. I did not cause the disparity between my income and other less fortunate peoples income, unless one wants to blame me for working hard and smart. As a Libertarian, I just don't have the guilt and self hate that liberals have. I do occasionally wonder what liberals have done to feel such guilt that could only be assuaged by giving away MY money and I wish they could just forgive themselves and be alot happier, then possibly they wouldn't feel the need to spread their misery to others. I totally ignore any suggestions that I need to give my money away until the person making the suggestion has given so much that they are living in a dirt floor grass shack eating rice or beans. I don't question the liberals guilt but I do question their commitment. Before anyone thinks I am heartless, I have given money to alleviate immediate suffering, gave it directly so 75% to 98% did not disappear in administrative costs.

How about inviting him to your home, so he can carry half your stuff back to his home, instead of coming all the way to my place...

I was never involved in any political organiziation whatever color shade, it was quite clear for me, from the begining, that politics are there to enable the rich to have their way and give the common folks the feeling/believe that they are the ones deciding...
As the article shows that is all a grand illusion and anybody that can see a bit farter than their TVs or the GPS on their dashboards should be thinking what comes next...

I would not call Libertarians a political organization, they aren't that organized. I have just changed my affiliation anyway. I am now a rational anarchist and my creed is that you may make any rules or changes you wish and I will obey all the ones I agree with.

Just an update: the proposal was shot down after voting. It was a union try-out but the Swiss citizens declined the offer....
