Ate there a few days ago. Very very limited and pretty much 2 cheapo plastic tables with some chairs. However their taco's are fairly good, better then moon's for sure. Their tortilla is a flour tortilla and a bit too flour covered and they use cabbage (I'm a lettuce fan and disliker of cabbage). But that aside its very good. Hopefully they expand inside a bit more.

Its right next to BB Liquor and the sign is just a ^ sign on the side of the road. Doesn't look like much so don't be surprised and let that throw you off.

I think BB Liquor is about to be fully closed. Guess that family is just ruining the business.

Thanks for adding your review of the taco place. I want to try it out for sure.

BB Liquor has tried a lot of things in the past. They have always been a liquor store, I believe mostly going for stocking bars and resorts. When he moved into the first building, he sold some drinks and beer out of his small bar. Then he moved to the bigger place and his bar expanded. Then a deli moved in and I believe he closed his bar to focus on selling to the bigger customers. Then the deli left and he started his own shop to sell meats and other things people might have wanted to import from Cebu. If they look dead now, maybe they have just gone back to selling alcohol to bigger customers? I don't know there is much for appearances when they might be just running that place as sort of a warehouse for liquor.

I have no idea. I just don't think the business has always been much to look at. Their real business probably happens more behind the scenes. As long as they are keeping stock then I would imagine they would be doing fine.

I ate at Taco Tayo a few days ago too, and talked to the owner - "Low" (sp?). They are in the process of a dramatic remodel and will eventually be set up to seat 35 people.

It is no longer run by Joe. A guy named Lowe has taken over. The tacos are better than ever. He is expanding in a few days. They
are very cheap. I ordered 15 the other day and put them in my freezer. Lowe is a great guy to speak with while you are waiting for you
order. You can tell he has a passion for his work and his tacos.

My wife just brought me home a take out pork taco and a chicken taco from Taco Tayo, wrapped in foil and still warm. Hard to finish the two of them, I liked the pork taco a little better but both very good. Looks like a burrito and tastes like a taco.

I agree on the tacos and quesidilla---by FAR the best I have had in dgte. Excellent spicing and wonderful tortillas. The expansion is coming along, but a ways from completion; HOEVER, this place is well worth the trip to sample their authentic tasting Cali-Mex fare. If they has refried beans, decent chips, a salsa fresca and Mexican rice, they would thrive in the San Diego or LA market. The menu is limited, certainly, but what is there is EXCELLENT, in my opinion. Give 'em a try---you won't be disappointed.

I hope this is not going the way "Pasta King" went, but then, they seem to do it the right way, start small and grow instead of starting grand and then go broke...

Okay, okay. As some of you know, I live NORTH of Duma and only come in to town about every 3 weeks. Just how far down the South Highway is this BB and new tacos joint? I don't even care to drive over to Robinson's Mall, let alone drive XXXX km down the South Highway and end up in Dauin! LOL! Can anyone be a tiny bit more specific? Is there a place to park my beat up old Easyride? Thanks.

I passed it today, but did not get a km count. I would venture to guess it is about 2-3 km South of Robinson's Mall on the left. It is past the Black Pearl and Garcia's and (way) before you get to the road that goes to NORSU. There is parking for your Easyride out front. Just look for the obvious sign out front of the place. Again, it is on your left as you go South.

I'm sure others will chime in and mention some easy landmarks that it is close to.
