    In WW 2,as most of you know,Dumaguete was held 'captive' by the Japanese.The port was also used as a 'midget submarine' base ..I have found records that show one of their subs (HA76) was flooded and sank in this area.
    I am looking for any more info or pictures of the Port during that time (1944-45)..Miguel

    View attachment 10725 not what you were asking for , but a picture of a Japanese midget sub that was sunk in Sydney Harbour in world war 2 , just a bit of inspiration for you ; in 2006, 7 recreational divers found another one that had been sunk , 64 years after it's demise , good luck .

    I have a book that makes reference to it being off the airport, I will try to find the book this weekend. It has other pictures of Dumaguete at that time as well. Other than that the only reference I find to it is having sunk on Feb 13, 1945.

    Not sure if you've seen this link, but it has some good info, mentions that sub, confirms the date that Shadow said it was sunk:
