Ahh, but you forgot to mention, "The sky is falling, we're all going to get smothered in the pollution humankind created!" Larry
It's monetary policy, devaluation of our fiat currency, too. When a centralized entity controls the value of the fruits of our labors, we end up in a kind of economic slavery.
And at 94 he is doing alright if he can still ride it! :D Most people my age can't ride a push bike!!
Don't worry, simple mind, based on historical facts, Switzerland will be OK---they have a LONG history of collaberating with tyrants and despots---please see:Co-Opting Nazi Germany: Neutrality in Europe During World War II or for truely heinous collaberations:http://www.writing.upenn.edu/~afilreis/Holocaust/swiss-and-hitler.html--as you may know, the Swiss are still "stonewalling" every civilizized Nation who is attempted to right the war crimes of the nazi's. Ironic, isn't it, when in August 1942 Hitler described Switzerland as "a pimple on the face of Europe" and as a state that no longer had a right to exist, denouncing the Swiss people as "a misbegotten branch of our Volk."[3 or in a meeting held with Fascist Italy's leader Benito Mussolini and Galeazzo Ciano (the Foreign Minister of Italy) in June 1941 Hitler stated his opinion on Switzerland quite plainly: "Switzerland possessed the most disgusting and miserable people and political system. The Swiss were the mortal enemies of the new Germany."[2] Now, with much of middle eastern oil monies sequested in Swiss banks, along with the gold of the Holocaust victims, Switzerland should be secure from the ravages you predict to come. Rest easy!!!
Slow down partner...... Anyone able to read this thread today was not directly involved in the second world war! They are not responsable for what their fathers did or did not do, and I can assure you the present generation of Germany are very apologetic about it or they were when I visited Germany a couple of years ago. There is nothing pleasant about war and atrocities continue to this day on all sides wherever there is conflict.....JB
JB, I fully agree with you regarding the German peoples---my comments were not to "bash" the current generation of Germans, but to point out to our resident America-basher from Switzerland that Switzerland is STILL complicit in atrocities that occurred in a previous generation. One is a historical fact, the other is a continuation of a crime against humanity still being perpitrated by the Swiss political and banking establishment. I am in complete agreement with you that war is an atrocity unto itself!
You did not miss many of the reasons why I am living here and not in Switzerland, if everybody here would scrutinize their own country, like I did with mine, we would not have this many senseless debates about many relevant topics, do your home work first about your own past...
