Big oil are not idiots. They agree with the climate change bunk because it's good PR and they know it will have absolutely no effect on them whatsoever. Nobody is going to ban the production or refining of oil. If someone did manage to partially ban the production or refining of oil, Big oil would just charge more and make more money for producing less oil thus prolonging production, dependence and making an even greater profit. Big oil plays a deeper game than most people know, they actually hire counterterrorism experts to help them form strategy in dealing with environmentalists. Sorry to spoil your Ah ha! moment.
