My wife has 8 weeks to plan for a birthday party for my boy and his school mates and cousins, ages 3-8. Each kid at the school has been throwing a theme or swimming party, our turn coming up. No swimming pool so we decided on a robot theme - my boy is into robots and dancing like a robot. Does anyone know of a group of robot dancers to put on a show and games for the kids? We are aware of the offering the shop at the mall provides and will use them for selected party things and a trampoline. Will have food plus beer and wine for the parents. Any suggestions are appreciated. Been about 40 years since I put on a kid's party, so a little rusty with ideas. Thanks

    Pat,

The first thing that came to my mind was a Quiz on Iron Man but kids should have seen the movies for this...

First thing comes to my mind... no responsible parent should give their 3-8 year old kids access to Iron Man....

    an Ideas for the party.

There are tons of dance groups in Dumaguete. many of them do hip hop and a kind of robotic dance. Negros Oriental High School has several. Barangay Uno (Tinago) has artistic groups. Check with the Barangay halls and/or Dumaguete Tourism. They organize several contests and events. Tayada sa plaza twice a month sundays at Quezon Park for example.

Let them perform 20 minutes and after that have them "teach" the kids some "cool" dance moves in a workshop and have them "perform" together. That gives you 2-3 hours peace and freedom.

Get some moving boxes, aluminum foil etc, have a robot costume making contest etc.

Pat , just recently we had a party at home in Tugas , and my wifes younger cousin and his mates did a dance routine , and the kids loved it , so I think that is a great idea , I think the Black Abbott pretty well nailed it in his post , another thing the small kids love is the blow up jumping castle , I don't know if the miniature version is available there , but a mate of mine has one that is 8feet x 8 feet that just runs a little pump to keep it up , and the kids love it . Just 1 thing on its own is a stretch , but if you can have 2 things to amuse the kids, even better. Oh, and if anyone there is artistic , face painting , the little ones love it , well worth it if you can line someone up to do it . Best of luck !

Problem solved. Although no robot themes, Sparkles Balloons, located in a kiosk outside of Robinson's Department store, has a wide selection of offerings for a kid's party, including many theme selections and mascots. Also, a number of fun rentals like trampolines and other bouncy items. Spare the rod and spoil the child this time.

Pat did you think about getting a robot pignata ! My bet is the other ones are just made locally , so shouldn't be too much skin to knock out a robot version .
