Bacolod Ceres to offer new "luxury buses" Duma/Bacolod

    In its desire to further improve its services of comfortable, safe and reliable journey to the riding public, VTI unveils its new highly advanced luxury buses that will be plying for Bacolod – Dumaguete route within the week.
    Leo Rey V. Yanson, VTI president and chief executive officer, is “very pleased to announce to the riding public this major development as part of the continuing program of the company to upgrade its fleet of buses and to keep abreast with the modern technology in order to satisfy the needs of the riding public. The luxury buses are first of its kind in the country and in the entire transport industry.”
    He further added that “these luxury buses with its new modern facilities will encourage more riding public to trust in our services and to experience for themselves the new improvements that will eventually make a difference on their journey.”
    The luxury buses also feature:

    • Individual seating capacity for 53 passengers.
    • Luxury luggage rack
    • Reclining seats
    • Reading lamp
    • Wi-fi ready
    • Luxury floor cover
    • Aluminum remote control out-swing type passenger door
    • Aluminum luggage compartment door
    • CAN instrument with running data recorder

    I find most of the aircon drivers to be quite good, except some are too slow. We have been on a few that took 4 hours from Cebu to Lilo-an, just too slow and afraid to pass anything.

    :confused:YET we would moan, if it was the other way Round. Better Safe than Sorry springs to mind.:rolleyes: given current, things on the Subject of buses, here in the PI.

    I wonder if they will also have a muted horn, or a new improved one with 10 different notes to play with every 100 metres.

    Did we mention a separate traveling compartment for the chickens / roosters and other livestock , although it has been 10 years since I did the bus run to Bacolod , so things have no doubt changed ?

    I once read that a truck had a horn so loud it was like heralding the arrival of god .
    think they are fitted to Ceres bus's also !...

    Rode the bus back from Cebu a couple of months ago. The bus driver blew that damned horn at anything that moved and many things that were inanimate. I got a head ache from it after a couple of hours and stuffed kleenex in my ears .. and my gf was like "what noise?" lol

    I do the same thing with the horn while driving...my horn just isn't THAT loud. (Although I might have a fix for that.)

    Locals do not pay attention to their surroundings when on the road. I can't hardly blame Ceres drivers for blowing their horn all the time. The noise is preferable to plowing over ignorant pedestrians and trike drivers. There are sometimes when I'm driving that I blow my horn at things that turn out to be inanimate objects. It's better to be safe than sorry. I actually think that Ceres drivers are some of the better drivers in this country. Would bet that they log less accidents per mile than the average filipino driver.
