Pure foods mall coming?

From my inbox this morning, unverified;

Just a bit of news! Pure foods mall will rise at the large area of clear space in batinguel soon, it does not look like sm will be coming here now at least for a while. Robinsons blocked their last attempt.

 

I've heard it rumored that a mall contractor can claim an area *theirs* for a period of seven years to reclaim their investment prior to any other build one. Anyone confirm/contradict ?

Gaisano laid claim to Roxas City,Capiz and it was closer to 10 years before Robinsons built their recent mall on the interior edge of that city. SM has owned land on the beach side there for years as well.

Ok now also I need a bit of clarification on what you just said Larry. Pure Foods ..the name does belong to SM I thought. Its their food distribution chain?

I am beginning to now, after all these years just, wait and see but if Robinsons, can have 2 stores, why can't SM have the 1, they originally wanted? ( Competition is always good, for business.) point in Question, is the New AM Builders, next door to City Hardware, both are doing Well!!

Something smells to me and I would hazard a Guess, SM have a trump card up their sleeve. and BT, is very near that point, in his post.

Back to the beginning..is anyone clearing/cleaning the ground..we see *troops on the ground there* ??

 

I drive this road everyday, and there is one large lot that has been cleared and covered in rock, obviously getting ready for something big there. Not saying it is the Pure Food thing....just that there is one place being prepped.

 

Sometimes they do work together. Next to the new government buildings complex they build in Bacolod there were some large open fields..read old rice paddy. Ayala was supposed to build a mall there. After 3 years of bickering and being blocked by local govt throwing blockage in the way of fees and payoff they threw up their hands and said we are not going to build..that was printed in the Bacolod news..someone probably got shot for saying it Anyway they said they will continue to complete a mall in Silay..just north of Bacolod..and they did..*minus* a food store* The food store as a seperate building got completed almost a year later with the name Metro.. ie a Gaisano sub component

 

I know for a fact that reps from SM have have visited with the Ang Tay golf course owner earlier this year. Would be an excellent choice of location, if it turns out to be a 'goer'.
