Seven years long my wife took daily at least 10 ticks from each of our dogs who roam free over our property. We used “Heart guard” pills as dewormer on them.
Since about 5 months we changed to “**********” injectable dewormer and guess what, No More Ticks!!!
If I had known that earlier our recently deceased Doberman would maybe still alive.
One's a month a 0.2 ml per 10 kg body weight under the skin injection is all it takes.
    For product info Google “**********”

Mokum, Good Morning. Where are you buying this from here, it sounds just what I am looking for, we too have a tick problem. We have tried all sorts but never seem, to Eradicate, the little blighters. Is Injecting easy enough, I know nothing of the other end of injections, plenty, on the Pointy end in me but........

    Hi JP,
I buy this by a "Pacific agrivet" store ( there 're two of them close to Jan Jan south of the market) They also sell the seringes.
.It's much cheaper than the pills.
As for injection: just put the head of the dog in a vice (joke) lift the skin of the neck and insert the needle without hitting on muscle/meat. You also can Google up " how to give a subcontaneous injection" for better instructions.
    Good Luck

I had an Aussie that was elderly but had a pretty miserable ending with what appeared to be a skin fungus. I finally had to contact her former vet who saw the photos and suggested a staff infection and recommended antibiotics. This worked for a while but if it was mites buried in her skin, nothing worked. Do you know if "**********" works on mites too? A biopsy will generally show the mites existence but effective treatment is at best illusive.

I don't know Swampstar but could maybe find an answer if I googled it up. But so could you.
Our spits cross had a, according to the vet, deadly skin infection(from mites?) He gave him, so far as I remember, every week an injection for some twelve weeks @ P 350/shot .That I remember, bcs this and the initial fee made the dog (who was given to us) our most expensive dog.
In that time I still had faith in the vets here and did not pay much attention on what medicine he used. All I know is that it came out of small glass capsules. Nowadays I would buy the drug and do the subcutaneous injection by myself.
