This has got to be the most frustrating thing I've dealt with...the lack of water. We stay at an apartment while we build the house...no water today to take a shower or flush the toilet. We actually went to the house tonight to take a shower off of what we have so far...posted pics on what we are getting from our well.

Anyone thinking of building I would really recommend getting a well and pump, it has been the best decision I made so far on our house build.

Guess this is another rant from me...

Here in Valencia there is plenty of water. They only shut the water off when it rains or when it don't rain!

Just make sure before you go to the expense and trouble of installing a well that you are (hopefully!) a long way away from a gas station or a potential site for a future gas station. The single-walled steel tanks that are being used here are a ticking time bomb and WILL go off in the next 20-30 years as they rust away and leak gasoline and diesel fuel into the water table.

The government, station owners, and oil companies have not put enough thought into this and will not likely have the capital or the will to do anything about it when the time comes to clean up the mess.

I have talked to two mayors and a vice-governor about this and have been largely ignored. Sadly this is not a forward thinking society for the most part.

The only thing worse than having no water is to have plenty of it but not be able to use it. O-|
