one (of many : ) thing missing here is a shopper/runner in cebu city, manila and even duma, someone who will do shopping, document running, send stuff to you, etc.. anyone know of any trustworthy persons looking to do a little business?

another thing i'd find handy is a drop-off/pickup place/service in duma. could be an eatery, gas station, small business, etc.

I'm pretty sure that there is a business in town that does what you are thinking about here. I think that I have seen it advertised, could be wrong though. Nothing saying you couldn't do it better though. Are you looking for a business partner, investor, employee or customers?

If Only I had a motorbike, I'd love to do that. Personal shopping and assistant work is a love of mine

Hi, you wouldn't get much shopping done on a bike, a van would be much preferred if I was doing that sort of business.

Nonsense! I've carried 3 weeks of groceries on my sports bike. Two duffle bags, one backpack and a bunch of bungie cords....and I still have room for the helper on the back. On a Honda wave I can carry double that.

I was thinking it would be great if there were a place here with lockers. It could be a good place for backpackers and tourists to lock away items while running around the city. Even with a hotel room to place things, a locker storage may actually be more secure. Possibly it could also have larger and longer term storage as well. This could also be a mail drop for foreigners who are in and out a lot and regularly changing locations. This would require quite a bit more in investment than a courier type of service though.

A courier service may be a pretty simple experiment. I don't know what the requirements are for starting a business in the Philippines, but those requirements actually still may make this an expensive and painful idea to start. I imagine a sole proprietorship would be relatively easy to create in the Philippines (it's basically automatic in the U.S.) but I wouldn't want to hire anyone as a sole proprietor, especially if that person would be running around town on a motorcycle. If one of your employees gets in a wreck, then everyone including the employee could come after you personally. I would also want to start out with a corp in case the business took off.

Personally, if I wanted for someone to do some running around for me, then I would just grab a handful of phone numbers from pedi-cab drivers and strike a deal. That's if I didn't already know some young people in my neighborhood / family with a motorcycle and nothing to do.
