Our first trip to the Philippines this year involved a stay in Davao for a week with some friends from Australia , who then came and stayed at our house in Negros , we were chaperoned by a wealthy Filipino businessman for the whole of our stay in Davao , who payed for everything and refused to take any money from us , we went to Eden Resort in the mountain next to Davao city , to his private cock breeding farm , shooting range with hand guns and machine guns , and also a private resort on Samal Island . The first pictures are at the cock fighting farm View attachment 11568 View attachment 11569 View attachment 11570 View attachment 11569 And some pictures of Shooting Range View attachment 11571 View attachment 11572 View attachment 11573 View attachment 11574

JP , the Filipino guy that entertained us , introduced me to the heads of many departments in Davao , police , nbi , etc , he supplied his Hummer and Range Rover , with drivers for us the whole time , whenever people seen him they saluted , but he is a civilian , one of mayor Duterte's mates , he is a multi millionaire that is actually a great guy , I wouldn't upset him though , hence no names !
So you just went along in case you upset him, Tony :D Trip before last spent three days on Samal Island, we stayed at Pearl Farm, very nice experience, but also very costly!
We were actually going to go to the Pearl Farm and our "friend" insisted he will arrange the activities , the old rule kicked in "whoever does the paying , does the saying" . Apparently the resort we went to is privately owned and the Vice President and the likes stay there , someone started talking to the chef and he said that he was working at a resort in Boracay and the owner of this resort was staying there in Boracay and offered to double his wage if he transferred . A little bit embarrassing at times though with someone else paying for everything , but this guy earns a million pesos / week with his investments , and what he wants he gets !
