Long-Stay Visitor Visa Extension (LSVVE) Can this be done in Cebu ? Or only Manila ? I-Card valid for a year so if a second 6M Visa it would be minus I-Card cost ? Anyone taken this 6M option ?
I have a friend, (who is also a member here so if he reads this he will confirm), who went to Cebu from Dumaguete a month ago and successfully got a 6 month Visa. He last entered the Philippines at the end of Jan, this year which may make a difference.
I am on my way to Dumaguete .. leaving USA tomorrow.09/03... arrive in Manila on Thursday 09/05..AM.. I plan on staying at least 6 months.. so what is my best course of action for visa...? do I just wait and extend at each expiration in Dumaguete...? or is there a way to get the longer term Visa on my arrival in Manila or Dumaguete...? Thanks
Don't take this the wrong way but you going to a Country that you've never been to and you wait until the day before to sort out a Visa extension? Take a look here: Home
As I mentioned, my friend went to Cebu to get a six month visa. Contrarily, I renew every 2 months right here in Dumaguete. Both options are good but I think you have to be here for a minimum of 59 days before you qualify for the 6 month one so just come to Duma and do your first renewal here, then decide if you want to go to Cebu or Manila for the 6 month one.
Thanks for your thoughts.. I have naturally looked up lots of different information of the various Visa options over the past year. I know that I can do extensions every 60 days there in Duma.. but also I know these things are changing all the time so I was just curious if anyone had some information I did not already have.. just pregame jitters.. Thanks again..
If it's your 1st time flying to Manila, your going to need guidance also. Flying Internationally is not like flying in the U.S. Do you have someone meeting you? My 1st time was a nightmare and I had my fiance waiting for me.
I have flown internationally before. ( Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, Bahamas, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, etc..) just not in Asia.. I am only coming into Manila then go to the next terminal for the flight to Dumaguete.. so I do not think I will need anyone to meet me.. I will manage whatever problems arise.. one way or another...I am expecting a nightmare so I will probably not be disappointed..LOL.. Thanks for the info and your thoughts..
Good luck to you and let the Forum know after your arrival in Duma of the experience. Drink plenty of water during the flight, and walk the aisles to keep circulation going.
