New Thread - Guests Viewing.

I am not much for statistics any more but I was interested in seeing this today, although we do not get as many new members that post as we used to, it's refreshing to see that we are getting a fair few Guests looking in just now.

At 1 pm we had 72 at 1.45 pm we had 74. just a few mins ago I looked, we had 86.nice to think if 10% only signed up, we could swell the membership some more. Then I guess, Joining is one thing, getting them to post is another

 

Hmmm :o I might be one of those guilty of being a 'Guest', as I believe others here also would do the same from time to time as I, that is; sneak in take a peek, nothing to say sneak away... :p But if something grabs my eye worthy of a response then I will sign in and do so... Just think of me as being like Casper the friendly Ghost, not all Ghosts are here to chase the bats out of your belfry JP, not until it is time to sign in and spook up anyways... :D hehe

If only to see who is reading/posting, comes with the territory I guess.
JP, the more "Guests" the better, odds are some will want to comment and join.

 

This is one side I SO DETEST! Yes I have heard it from both sides, the majority of the Girls are just as willing as the Westerners who come for one thing only, but it is a blight on the country IMHO...

Around 9 years ago when I first began talking to Filipino online, I was totally blown away at the naivety and ignorance towards sex, but found it was due to how many are raised there, slowly I began to educate them, I am not a prude, but FFS SOMEONE has to warn some of these kids of the REAL Dangers! At one time I did a search for STD's and HIV in Thai Bars for one Girl who was doing a Project for College, if I recall correctly, in One Bar; 97.6% tested Positive for HIV alone! At that time, many of the guys who regularly went to Thailand were posting and boasting to go to the Philippines for cheap sex with young naive boys and girls who were desperate for money, honestly it sickened me, it still does, how some treat other fellow human beings is beyond me!

I have spoken to MANY where we have spoken about me marrying a Filipina and moving here to live, and 99% of the time it lands on square one; SEX! That seems to be ALL it is about? I ALWAYS tell them I believe the Philippines Government should jail every foreigner caught going there for the purpose of sex only. Sex should NEVER be a part of Tourism!

Sorry to those who see me coming across as high and mighty, but I was raised to hold a great respect for others, and to never treat someone how I would not like to be treated myself, and growing up with older and younger Sisters, I SWORE I would NEVER be one of those assholes who mistreated them or used them, it you would not like to watch your own sister treated like a piece of meat, used, abused and spoken about in public in such ways, then why treat another Man's Daughter or Sister the same way then? :(

When I retired from my job, my manager kept referring to my future marriage to my "Thai" bride!
People automatically think your marrying a young girl for sex, and in my manager's case, dont even know the difference between Filipina's and Thai's. Let's hope Philippines never ends up with the same reputation as Thailand.....JB

PS. Most of the Filipina's I know here in UK are in the Nursing profession and very respectable.

 

It is basic common respect for the People JB

In Oz at the moment it is Middle Eastern Men who have an absolute disrespect for our Women. Whilst on one hand many do dress provocatively, we possess a FREEDOM where our women can wear a Mini Skirt or a Burqa and should NOT be harassed by ANY Man for their choice of attire. Middle Eastern Men state that the way our Women dress is asking for them to be raped, but what if Western Men were turned on by a Burqa and began using the attire as a plausible excuse for why they felt the God given right to attack and rape an innocent woman...

As soon as someone spies a Western Guy with an Asian Girl she is instantly a money grubbing wh*re, and I must admit, when I see an old Guy with a 17 year old I bite my tongue, but fact is fact, a Woman's Body and Brain is not fully developed until around the age of 23, so for 'me' any woman under that age is a child still, if not in Body, then in mind. But stereotyping is just plain WRONG!

I have put in the hard yards to prove to Mama and Papa that I truly love their Daughter and Grandchild, asawa can be insecure at times worrying that she is plain and simple and not bongga like many of the friends I speak to, but slowly she is coming around and realising my friends are only friends, and that I am a one woman Man who would NEVER cheat on her, I have felt the pain of betrayal more than a few times in my past, I do not wish to ever let someone I love feel the same pain also...

There was a guy who lived not far from me here, he went to the Philippines with a few of his mates, tasted the 'fruits' and came home, left his Wife and children, sold the Family home and Business and split it and moved to Cebu. He is in his 40's and several Guys here think he is some sort of God! He bought a flash House in Cebu, has at least half a dozen Girls aged 16 and under living with him, he and they walk around naked all day drinking alcohol, smoking pot and he chooses which he wants to have sex with and will take her on the spot in front of all the others. To me, he surely cannot see any of them as actual human beings by showing such disrespect...

This guy in my mindset is a Maggot and nowhere near a God! But unfortunately; in my past 53 years of being alive, when it comes to Men (okay; most Men not wishing to be stereotypical) NOTHING is sacred! Your Best mate WILL Bed your Wife at the very first opportunity! One mate who I even attended Primary/High School with made a point to bed BOTH my 1st AND then my 2nd Wife! (I no longer possess a Best Mate so there will NOT be a 3rd time!)

The Guy in Cebu to me is a Predator nothing more nothing less, an animal, but then; I do not understand it, WHY do these Girls allow themselves to be treated as a commodity? WHY is it allowed to openly happen? IF I KNEW HOW to topple his House of Cards that he has built for himself I happily would do so in the blink of an eye. It is a two way street and this Guy will Tar US ALL with the same Brush! Any of the local Filipino who know what is happening in his House WILL instantly assume that WE ALL are the same...

When I boarded from Manila to fly to Dumaguete, an older western looking guy got on the Plane and my step Daughter was standing in the aisle, he gave her a leering long look up and down, then looked straight at me, his eyes grew larger, then narrowed, he winked then saluted me with a (seemingly knowingly) smirk, before taking a seat ahead of me, my blood was boiling and asawa asked if he was my relative? When I told her what I saw, she said maybe he was just being friendly? I assured her, I KNOW that look, I KNOW what was in his mind, I have spent decades learning to read people and I am 100% sure of what the signs were I read that day, and sorry to say this; for a moment, I too wondered if this is WHY so many Foreigner are in the Philippines...

I watched this guy as we flew back to Dumaguete, his 'Wife' looked to be around 13 to 14 years old (so I am guessing she was maybe 16 or 17 years of age) and had a baby, she seemed as if she did not know what she was really doing with the Baby and he brushed her off each time she tried to get him to take the crying Baby, then when we landed, he 'manhandled her' through the terminal to outside and treated her more like a disobedient Dog on a leash than a Wife or Girlfriend, telling her to STAY! Those images have stuck with me and I developed an instant dislike for the guy and what he was to her and her child.

I assume from time to time I will see this type of occurrence (hopefully not often, as it makes my blood boil to see this sort of thing happen) and the hard part of it; for one to ignore it is even happening, is being just as bad as the perpetrator himself by allowing those who do this to others getaway with this horrid behaviour so that they are able to do so once again... Mistreating or taking advantage of another in no way makes one a god in my eyes, it only shows what a low @ss one can be when they have the opportunity to help, yet rather use the victim for their own needs, they are a virus to Mankind IMHO... :(

 

The age of consent I am sure is 18 if the partner or whatever is over 21. They are quick to crack down on any abuses especially involving foreigners. Cebu has had some high profile cases in the news over the last few years, that Clown God guy would not get away with it. Same with the Duma Guy ( Maybe it was his step daughter with a child ?). These kind of suppositions reinforce the negative angle that some only want to see.

Are just replying to Wrye's statement, that locals look upon many of the westerners as Sexpats.
I dont think he was wrong to post his reply's, even if we are going off thread.
Anybody who reads DI forum can see for the most part the members are decent living people!

Hi JB. No offence taken or ever intended by myself.
I shall stick with what I have said. Even in places like Angeles they try to clamp down on any under age dealing going on and have tried to do so for a long time. Some girls try to trick their way in to the bars with fake ID's but if a hirer is caught with such as mentioned he will be for the high jump and rightly so. So stating on here that you know a Aussi fellow running around loudly with half a dozen 16 and unders I will say a clown like that would not get away with that behaviour even in the advertised capital of the trade in the Philippines.
