I'm a pretty avid reader and over the years of coming here I've brought a lot of books (as well as buying from the bookstores here). The authors I most like are James Patterson, Dean Koontz, Stephen King and Lee Child though I have books from other authors as well that I picked up on a whim.

I honestly don't have the space (in my downsizing plans) to keep buying books, so if anyone is interested in a book exchange please let me know. I'm willing to bet quite a number of us here have books laying around that they probably will not read again.

    Just a thought...

    Book Source

There is a"book rental" store next to BI office. I have never gone into it, but it may be an easy cheap source of books for you particularly if you do not have storage area after reading them.

A friend of mine left me a few books when he left Bacong. They are no interest to me so let me know if you want to have them:

First Book Naked in Da Nang, by Mike Jackson and Tarya Dixon. It is about the elusive enemy in Vietnam (note; I would like to write a book here in Dumaguete. I am thinking of calling it "Naked in Dumaguete.' I am looking for co-writer, collaborator, preferably a female - "no half and halves"... the only requirements for my collarborator is nice body and tender touch. Hopefully the book I write will have an happy ending.
Second Book Three Strikes and the Politics of Crime in America's Golden State" obviously my friend was an attorney who is is rumored like to work naked.... O-|

Anyone interested in the books PM me.

    Good idea Shawn,
I too read a lot specially now that I discovered the E Reader. But still, I have a lot of books (more than a hundred) for swap from the pre reader era. I just read your post about the rain water collecting. We only use rainw. so have a look at our system and swap books.
I live in Silab about 15 minutes drive from your place.

That sounds great, just let me know a time that is convenient for you.

I started downloading books on my iPad when I was in Afghanistan because I was not always around a PX or what they had was limited, not the same as sitting down with a good book but technology can be a good thing.

Preferable mornings except on wednesday, we're early birds. Live on the road to Silab, three km from the highway crossing.
Natural stone wall overgrown with bougainville, yellow open-ironwork gate.

Picked up a hardback of Stephen King's latest book, Mr. Mercedes, at the BX in Korea. Finished it last night, his best book in a number of years in my opinion.
