It is hard to distinguish between news and politics. I will allow political topics to be placed in the "News around the world" forum but if I see them getting controversial or disruptive to normal forum activities I will move them to the Politics forum. I have changed the password to the politics section to "politics" (without parentheses) to ensure that everyone who frequents that section understands the new policy. Understand I am the only admin/moderator. I will use my best judgment on the relocating of threads. Political topics always have the possibility of being disliked by someone. If you post a political topic and it turns into a debate and the thread is moved don't get upset.....you are the one who posted a controversial topic. If you post anti-name-a-country post expect someone from that country to be offended and start a debate. Country bashing will be moved as soon as I see it. I won't delete them because I believe in freedom of speech, but there is a business to protect. Consider the politics section your "free speech zone". And yes, I will adhere to this new policy as well. If you catch me breaking forum rules bring it to my attention and I will moderate myself. If you see a post you don't like please use the report button so I will see it on the admin panel. Do not message me about posts you don't like, I will not take action through a PM.
