It is sometimes better to come here for a holiday, stay in a resort on the beach where you can relax after a hectic day of house hunting. During your time at the resort, ask the resort owners, guests and staff about rentals. Later, find a nice cheap rental that you can stay in for awhile in the area you like, and then look for a house and property, or just property. Do not be in a rush. Enjoy! Relax! Take your time and you will find what you want.

Very sound Advice, this morning I walked a way I had not been for a while with the dogs. Now we are some 3.5km's from the City Centre Towards Valencia. No less than 5 houses for rent. 3 had a Sign also saying car can be leased too. It pays to just be around and keeping yours open.

Both Roads going to Valencia from Dumaguete.

1, The one that goes up to Batinguel to wards towards Camilla Homes.

    2. The one that goes past the Cemetary at Northern Junob. around the Silliman heights Area. just keep a look out for rent Signs, there are many.

Road names won't mean much as not many use the names. You have as much info there to get to both I think?

Junob is a little bit out of the city but not to hard to get transport in (Tricycle and Easy Rides.) All around that Area, is seems to have quite a lot of rent Signs, but as Dave_Hounddriver says, many just don't take the Signs Down. It is a matter of keeping your eyes peeled and walking or riding up the off Roads.

Also the Larena Drive Area toward Sibulan , past Lower Batinguel into Taclobo has a few Sub divisions with a Houses for rent at times. again just keep your eyes open for rental Signs. I was only walking the Dogs and noticed the Signs, However, the more I get out the more I see, so I know they are there.

Hope this is of some help Whatever, I wish you well on your hunt.

BTW Valencia it'self seems to give up a few rentals, maybe you will get some help from those members up there also.
Bacong seems Popular too but i am not too sure about renting out there. Boots on the ground is the best way to go on this. not too sure a couple of days will be enough but at least you will get some Idea.
Just lately also, we see a lot of Duplex Apartment buildings with signs for rent. Again These are getting Popular Just visit the Side roads in these areas I mention, You will be Surprised at what you may Find.

A new building has just opened with many Apartments at Bagacay on the way to Robinsons on the left from the main Road from Valencia to Robinsons, Vere left after the CERES garage, worth a Look.

Across the street from Hypermart take the street that runs beside Dumaguete Springs apartments. There are many apartrments for rent. Another street to the west of that street about 70 meters also has many for rent.
