We talk so much about immigration here, that when this item Popped up on my Screen it took my Interest, http://edition.cnn.com/2014/11/20/p...paign=Feed:+rss/cnn_latest+(RSS:+Most+Recent) Being a Brit but bound by the same rules here, Immigration is like a red rag to a Bull. the BOI or at least the Philippine President only seems to pay lip service to the Agency and Immigration as a whole, letting other less competent? people, make the foolish rules and seem to chasing their tails most of the time. On reading this I felt at least the US leader is attempting to put things in order that the rest of the world, could learn from Am I right in thinking he has it right? I sometimes wonder if all the worlds leaders ( or those that matter) just sat around a table and actually talked about Immigration (instead of point scoring) we just might see some movement for better Immigration Rules which can only lead to better security for our own Countries. In my opinion, Jack, obama's proposal is absurd political pandering. America has a porous Southern border that has allowed over 11,000,000 illegal immigrants and God knows how may terrorists to inflitrate America. Any plan that does not stress the IMMEDIATE securing of the border is fraudulent on it's face. obama is only attempting to enlist another 11 million voters to his party, not to "faithfully execute the duties of his office". His thinly veiled attempt at autocracy will be short-lived, since January is only a bit more than a month away, then perhaps the U.S. Constitution's system of "checks and balances" can be restored.
It is an interesting proposal, but like the "you can keep your doctor if you wish" promises this President has lost a lot of his creditably. Sounds good but what is he really saying? " if you register, pass a criminal background check, and you're willing to pay your fair share of taxes" hmm.... well one of my wives was from Venezuela. She would do her taxes on January 2, which made me wonder, because she never worked and never contributed anything. I did my taxes separately so as not to have liability to any fraudulent items she my attest to in the US. Later I found out that as a mother of three dependent children, with no work history, with no contribution toward taxes she would get a refund of about $ 750 USD. She knew who to file her taxes and what to put down. So if coming out of the shadows includes paying "your fair share of taxes" which means every immigrant (she a legal immigrant, but an illegal wife... marriage ended in annulment because of fraud on her part) gets $750.00 dollars in cash then I am not sure this system works.
When it comes to Obama , watch what he does versus what he says. I firmly believe the man ? would destroy the hard fought for United States of America in anyway possible if he can get away with it. He is an example of how dumbed down the average American has become. This guy along with his buddy Holder, Sharpton and a few other hypocrites may well be in Federal prison before you have heard the end of it all. If I were still in the military I could not serve under this liar in chief. He is a major con-artist funded by a very anti-American group. Every-time his lips move he lies. Anyone that thinks he is doing the right thing is welcome to immigrate and live under his supreme rule. Good luck. And this is the nice things I have to say on the subject. But remember " There is no such thing as a totally useless person, they can always serve as a bad example." And is he and his bunch ever in that category. 2016 cannot get here fast enough.

Well Peter, quite a few do not even vote. Actually many do not. They definitely deserve what they get, or could I say don't get also. It amazing how many in the U.S. know baseball scores, basketball, football, and every player on every team but haven't a clue who is really running the country or trying to. How do they get voted in ? Think about how Hitler got in and you are part way to answering your own question. The infiltration and dumbing down has been going on for many years, much of it in the liberal so called colleges. It is known the U.S. cannot likely be destroyed in a conventional war, but with a Trojan Horse from within it could be. This is the worst I have seen in my seventy some years. But we will survive it, one way or the other. Hitler's regime fell and so will this one.
Voter turnout in last week's midterm elections was terrible. How terrible? Just 36.3 percent of eligible voters cast votes — the worst turnout in 72 years, the New York Times reports. Only the 1942 election (33.9 percent) had a lower rate of voter turnout. This is disgusting in my opinion. Like I said in my previous post, those that don't vote get what they deserve, and in my opinion have no right to complain about anything in the U.S.. Although the liberals will say, well it is a free country and it is their right not to vote if they don't want to. Hence the tip of the ice-berg of the problem.
