You can check out the tourist visa requirements at the Manila US Embassy website below. I heard about 50% only are approved. My friend who got it approved has a house here in his wife's name, bank account, cars, and all the docs needed plus the aforementioned ITIN.

Passports are cheap and easy to get in the Philippines (though many make a good bit of change making foreigners think it's not) and Filipinos are some of the worst when it comes to overstating in the US.

It is already easy for them to get to the US if they are married to an American.....you just can't get it done in a month. The US has to make sure the marriages aren't fraudulent, and that takes time.

When I spoke to an immigration attorney in the US about 4 years ago, I was told the the Philippines was the number two country in the world for fraudulent immigration issues with the US Immigration services. Some country in Africa I had never heard of was number one. Most fraudulent situations were coming from ladies who brought in "their children" which was turning out to be any child, relative or neighbor, who the parents wanted to have grow up in the US.

I am not inferring anything is fraudulent in your case, just that the Philippines does not have a good record with US Immigration regarding fraudulent claims, which may cause you to have a few more headaches than you want.

Good Luck... do your research thoroughly and go forward.

It's also no different in the uk with immigration, recently it's on the top of the political agenda due to many Eastern Europeans coming in thinking the uk is a soft touch for benifits!
I have been married now for 3 yrs and now a british embassy warden but even with this and being married it's no different, and as of next ur I would need to earn £18,600 before I could bring her to live there and the chance of a tourist or visitors visa is around 20% unless she has a large bank acc or lots of property. It's getting harder every yr.

My Asawa and I are living proof that it is not a fast turn around for a Spousal Visa. Going on two years and she is just now going back for her 2nd physical then a 2nd interview. Hopefully by summertime.... Siguro
